Blazing a trail in the nursery this week is the budding beauty of Callistemon Kings Park Special! Attractive to beneficial bugs and nectar-loving birds in your garden, with it's bright red bottlebrush flowers. Popular as evergreen native screening, hedging, or great street trees, they're low maintenance, small native trees. They thrive in a full sun position in well-drained soils. Callistemon are hardy, tolerate poor soils, moderate coastal exposure and short periods of dryness. When established, Callistemon have a low water requirement and Kings Park Special can grow to a height of 4-5 metres and similar width.
